180 Gram Blue Vinyl`
Conversations With Myself' was recorded in 1963 and earned Evans his first Grammy Award in 1964 for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group. It also received a 5-star review in DownBeat in 1963. It is a classic of its kind. For this verve project, Bill Evans recorded three piano parts via overdubbing. Aptly titled, the music on this LP has a surprising amount of spontaneity, with Evans constantly reacting to what he had just recorded, and the results are sometimes haunting. The highlights include "How About You," "The Love Theme from `Spartacus," "Blue Monk," and "Just You, Just Me."
