Singles V1 is the first physical release from Low Girl. As the title suggests, the EP is a collection of the band's singles up to the end of 2023, which includes Big Now, So Cool, Blessing, Bored, Uh-Oh and Pockets. If you don't know Low Girl yet, you will soon. The four-piece band is fronted by singer-songwriter Sarah Cosgrove and her bandmates Toby Morgan, Tom Cosgrove and Bradley Taylor. Their popularity has grown steadily since the release of their first single Big Now in 2021. The band performed on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading Festival and played the SXSW Festival in Texas in 2022 at the invitation of the British Music Embassy. They have also toured regularly and supported bands such as October Drift, Pale Blue Eyes, The Murder Capital, Dream Wife and most recently Dekker. Low Girl's lo/fi indie pop, which relies on vulnerable lyrics, synth licks and guitar-driven riffs, has found admirers and radio airplay, particularly on BBC Radio 1, Radio X and BBC Radio 6 Music, which have played a number of Low Girl's singles. Her single 'So Cool' was one of BBC Radio 1's Introducing Singles of the Week in April 2022 and 'Bored' was played alongside Arlo Parks, Björk, Sade, Nina Simone and other leading female artists on the Late in the Day edition for International Women's Day 2023. Sarah Cosgrove also joined the panelists for the August editions of Steve Lamacq's Round Table, along with Felix White and Zac from Deadletter.
