Despite the fact the Nornír are hailing from Germany, the band's style has always been traditional Norwegian black metal. While the beginnings showed all the classic trademarks with just a few clean female vocals from band leader Lethian, the band has expanded their style on 'Verdandi' to also include the occasional Norwegian folk influences, yet without once turning their back on the raw und furious power of their origins. 'Skuld' continues in that tradition, with classic, raw yet melodic Norwegian black metal interspersed with the occasional Norwegian folk parts, and even sees the band perform a cover of Wardruna's 'Helvegen' as if it belonged right on that album. 'Skuld' marks the third and final chapter in Nornír's trilogy of 'De Tre Nornene' (The three Nornes) of Norwegian mythology, and it showcases the growth in songwriting and musicianship the band gained during their countless successful live performances in the years since 'Verdandi.' The CD comes as collector's edition in 4-panel digipack with 12-page booklet, limited to 999 copies.
