Ali Neander, who has been a versatile and busy guitar virtuoso in Germany for many years (Rodgau Monotones, Moses Pelham, Edo Zanki, Sabrina Setlur, Rilke Projekt etc.), has teamed up with two drum giants, namely Anika Nilles (Jeff Beck) and Moritz Müller (Gianna Nannini), on his latest solo album "Boomer Bends". On his latest solo CD "Boomer Bends" he has teamed up with two drumming giants, namely Anika Nilles (Jeff Beck) and Moritz Müller (Gianna Nannini), to venture a new, fresh approach to "contemporary jazz rock" and "progressive fusion".
They are joined by Kai Eckhardt (ex John McLaughlin), Raoul Walton (Roachford, Westernhagen and many more), Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunado (Trilok Gurtu) and Phlipp Rehm on bass, Neil Nail Alexander (Mahavishnu Project) and Ulf Kleiner (DePhazz), Martin Kasper (Kraan) and Hilde Müller (Nevell) on keys and many other guests. Following on from the two CDs with Hellmut Hattler, "Boomer Bends" is a sometimes fast-paced, sometimes meditative journey into the world of crooked bars, amazing harmonies and emotional guitar sounds, and proves that this music does not have to be a soulless demonstration of playing technique, but on the contrary can be great fun.
