The singer and composer Caloé presents a repertoire that tends towards folk jazz to appeal to the general public. An exceptional vocal technique to highlight!
After Saisons, the artist's first album released in 2020 by Label Ouest, Caloé does it again with Le Voyageur. She presents, as in Saisons, an essentially original repertoire (8 creations and 1 cover), of which she signs all of the unpublished texts (5 in French, 2 in English, 1 in Spanish) and signs or co-signs most of the music. Supported by her regular trio made up of sharp musicians from the jazz scene, including the remarkable pianist Clément Simon (Revelation Prize Franck Ténot 2023 at the Victoires du Jazz in Jeanne Michard's Latin Quintet), the artist invites us on a musical journey, recounting the “land and sea” adventures of his imaginary character, “The Traveler”. With her creation “The Flower” and the cover of “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers, she also opened up to a “pop” and “folk-jazz” repertoire capable of seducing the general public.
