On 17 April, Eckstein will release their first EP, *Alles und Nichts* – a collection that brings together the Viennese duo’s work to date whilst also opening up new chapters.

The EP brings together the four previously released singles “Einbruch”, “Reigen”, “Ein Ganzes Leben” and “Zinnober”, as well as the previously unreleased tracks “Tyrann” and “Kirchenglocken”. The release is complemented by an intimate acoustic live session of the track “Hund”.

‘Alles und Nichts’ showcases Eckstein in all their breadth: existential urgency, delicate melancholy, eruptive emotionality. Singer Hagen Eckstein combines poetic imagery with a voice that oscillates between vulnerability and power. Multi-instrumentalist Jannik Rieß creates richly detailed soundscapes that are organic, atmospheric and yet precisely composed. Eckstein represent a unique form of German-language music that does not resolve ambiguity, but celebrates it. “Alles und Nichts” is more than an EP – it is a manifesto of their artistic identity and impressive proof that this duo ranks among the most exciting new projects in the German-speaking world.
