Counterculture icon Hyd readies their second album, rich with dynamic, texturally-rich pop songs. Hyd taps into their community of creative collaborators to build out the music, drawing in friends Hudson Mohawke, Sophie, Finn Keane (fresh off a monstrous year producing for Charli xcx), Marcus Andersson, Saint Patrick and Sophie's brother Benny Long. The artwork was shot by photography phenom Michael Bailey Gates, the vinyl record designed by producer umru, and the music videos directed by actor Bobbi Salvor Menuez. Hayden regularly models for Courreges, Junya Watanabe and Balenciaga, and is represented by Company Gallery (NYC) for their visual art. Hyd was also the founder of QT, a performance art project composed of Hayden, Sophie and AG Cook that was signed to XL Recordings. Hyd's new album explores what it means to move between forms, inheriting one shape while transforming into another; queer ecosystems of care. "When I lost my vision in 2017 I started being able to see differently. In total darkness you realize you are beyond your body. That is when I started writing this material."
