The Kitchenettes are a San Francisco band formed by Morgan (The Umbrellas, Telephone Numbers), Emily and Sequoia (The Snogs) in their garage. Their songwriting is collaborative and intuitive, yielding patchwork pop songs with heart and charm. The group’s combined sensibilities and vocal styles evoke 80’s and 90’s indie pop and by-gone girl bands.
Now they're following up their 2024 demos tape with the first Kitchenettes vinyl release, a delightful three song 7" that deftly updates the timeless Marine Girls/Cat's Miaow/Lois template for 2026. The three songs show an admirable range of mood, tempo and texture -- a lovely, warm vibe throughout.
