EN BLOODORN, a new power metal band led by SIRENIA's lead guitarist Nils Courbaron. The band was formed in 2020 during the pandemic. SILENT WINTER vocalist Mike Livas, FREEDOM CALL bassist Francesco Saverio Ferraro and SIRENIA drummer Michael Brush joined the band after hearing the first demos of the album. Influenced by bands such as GAMMA RAY, ANGRA and BEAST IN BLACK, the band also draws on some elements from the extreme metal scene. BLOODORN's music is very fast and technical, sometimes even brutal, but also very melodic and catchy: Extreme Power Metal! The name BLOODORN is a play on words from the Viking torture method "Blôdörn" (better known as "Blood Eagle") and "Blood". In the band's universe, the BLOODORN is like a REAPER - a monster ready to kill and destroy everything in its path. BLOODORN is about the fight against oppression, authority and tyranny, but also about dark gothic fantasy, shadow cults, war, inner strength, honour, Norse mythology and even some video game references. Der Name BLOODORN ist ein Wortspiel aus der Wikinger-Foltermethode "Blôdörn" (besser bekannt als "Blutadler") und "Blut". Im Universum der Band ist der BLOODORN wie ein REAPER - ein Monster, das bereit ist, alles zu töten und zu zerstören, was sich ihm in den Weg stellt. In BLOODORN geht es um den Kampf gegen Unterdrückung, Autorität und Tyrannei, aber auch um düstere Gothic-Fantasy, Schattenkulte, Krieg, innere Stärke, Ehre, nordische Mythologie und sogar einige Videospielreferenzen. La musique de BLOODORN est très rapide, technique, parfois même brutale mais aussi très mélodique et accrocheuse : Extreme Power Metal ! Le nom BLOODORN est un jeu de mots entre la méthode de torture viking "Blôdörn" (plus connue sous le nom d'"aigle de sang") et "sang". Dans l'univers du groupe, le "BLOODORN" est un peu comme la faucheuse, un monstre prêt à tuer et à détruire tout ce qui se trouve sur son chemin. Les paroles du groupe traitent de la lutte contre l'oppression, l'autorité et la tyrannie. On y retrouve également des références à l'univers fantastique, les guerres notamment liées aux religions ainsi que la lutte contre l'extrémisme. Tous ces concepts sont renforcés par les tenues de scène notamment inspiré de l'histoire mais aussi de jeux vidéos tels qu'Assassin's Creed.
