Barcelona has been celebrating the Fiesta de la Mercè, the great Catalan festival in honor of the city's patron saint, since 1902. Originally planned as a pious event, over the years it has developed into a huge anarchic spectacle and is now the biggest and most exotic festival held over five days in September. September 1986: At the invitation of their Catalan colleagues from El Ultimo de la Fila, the dissidents arrive from their temporary home in Tangier. In Barcelona, the band is welcomed by around 250,000 spectators. This legendary debut concert gives the Dissidents a loyal and enthusiastic audience in Spain and South America. The audio and video recordings of this legendary debut have survived in the Dissidenten archive and have been superbly restored. DISSIDENTEN LIVE SERIES Over 40 years of crossing borders between world beat, new classic, jazz, trance, metal, krautrock and electronica, Dissidenten have a wonderfully diverse audience all over the world.
