Formed in 1999 and based in London, DragonForce are very well known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-based lyrics and electronic sounds in their music to add to their retro video game-influenced sound. Three years after their worldwide success “Maximum Overload”, DragonForce released their 2017 studio album “Reaching Into Infinity”.
For “Reaching Into Infinity”, DragonForce have opened up their sound like never before, capturing the fierce, forlorn and fun with both menace and melody. It is also the first album to feature Gee Anzalone, who has laid down an insanely impressive performance to provide the perfect backbone on the DragonForce sound, which of course still boasts the bands trademark crazy-fast solos, courtesy of guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
Recorded in Sweden with prestigious producer Jens Bogren, the band went in and out of studios during their world tour to record “Reaching Into Infinity”, utilizing Lamerluser Studios (London, UK), Dark Lane Studios (Witney, UK), as well as the bands own Evil1 Studios in Charleville-Mézières (France) and Shredforce One Studios (California, USA).
The album is now available again as CD jewel case edition for an attractive price, featuring the bonus tracks previously only available on the 2017 CD+DVD special edition of “Reaching Into Infinity”.
