Honeymoon Suite has released a total of seven studio albums with over 1 million units sold worldwide driven by the success of a string of hit singles such as “New Girl Now”, “Burning In Love”, “Wave Babies”, “Stay In the Light”, “Feel It Again” and “What Does It Take”, to name a few. The band has won numerous awards including a Canadian Juno for group of year in 1986, triple platinum sales in Canada with the first 3 albums, and platinum sales for the greatest hits cd ‘The Singles’, released in 1989.
They also received an award in June, 2015 for 100,000 + performances on Canadian radio for “Burning In Love”, “New Girl Now”, “Wave Babies” and “What Does It Take” They have toured extensively in the US, Canada and Europe with acts such as ZZ Top, Heart, Billy Idol, Journey, Bryan Adams, Saga, Loverboy, Jethro Tull and .38 Special to name a few. Honeymoon Suite’s 6th studio album Clifton Hill was recorded in an old church in Hamilton ON and produced by Tom Treumuth (who was also the producer of the band’s very first album in 1984).
The songs are classic Honeymoon Suite and the sound is a return to that pure melodic rock that made the band famous in the 80’s. The title of the album is a nod to our roots in Niagara Falls ON where it all started in 1982.
This 2024 remaster has been remixed from the master tracks at Iguana Studios in Toronto ON as a true rock mix bringing the sound into the modern era and now dubbed Clifton Hill Revisited. Johnnie and Derry recorded two *bonus acoustic tracks “Ordinary” and ”Sittin' In The Garden” to add to the release.
