The facts of Miklós Rózsa's life (1907-1996) and work have been previously chronicled in scores of liner notes and his own autobiography, A Double Life. It should be noted here, however, that the music on this disc spans almost forty years of one of film composition's most distinguished careers. As a Hollywood Legend, Rózsa had few peers.
