Moose Loose was a norwegian jazz rock/fusion group that only managed to release two albums before they disbanded in 1976. This is the debut Elgen er løs, which was released on the Mai label in 1974. The band consists of four legendary jazz artists: Pål Thowsen on drums , Sveinung Hovensjø on bass, Brynjulf Blix on keys and Jon Eberson on guitar. The band name came from a children's book with English and Norwegian lyrics, where the aim was to create something entirely Norwegian ("Moose") and also sound loose ("Loose"). As loose as it gets. This record has been long out of print, and has been nicely remastered from original source material.
