Epic 2CD set from Nurse With Wound that mops up a load of bits and pieces you might not have heard from the era 2008-2011, opening with the head scratching concrete party banger 'Cruisin' For A Bruisin'' and then proceeding to get weirder, it's a pretty diverse collection of their bizarre cut-and-paste experiments, the first disc split into 'The Bacteria Magnet' and 'Rushkoff Coercion' and the second 'Erroneous, A Selection of Errors', which I'm guessing means unreleased stuff? While it sounds like it's just going to be an odds and sods collection, there's plenty of interesting stuff happening here...being NWW it's pretty hard to describe, though, a constantly shifting patchwork of drones and rhythms and weird vocal samples that can vary from big band silliness to danceable African polyrhythms to cold techno darkness to ambient smokiness in the space of a minute or two. Very skilfully done as always, but as you'd expect from such a collection it flits about a bit and there's no thematic focus to speak of, just endless disorienting sonic patchworks.
