The Format is an American indie rock band formed by Nate Ruess and Sam Means. Their style can be considered a mixture of indie, alternative, punk and folk music, with elements of 1960s and 1970s pop music. "Dog Problems" is their second studio album produced by Steven McDonald in Los Angeles, and was released in 2006 through the band's own label, The Vanity Label. Featuring title track "Dog Problems" and "She Doesn't Get It" it is more of a power pop album that has been compared to the work of the Cars, Ben Folds Five and Jimmy Eat World.
