Bridging the divide between black metal and the avant-garde was never enough for Thy Catafalque. The Hungarian band followed their unexpected breakthrough with a concept album that revolves around strange transmissions from an out-of-time radio. Róka Hasa Rádió crackles with a child-like curiosity, flipping Carpathian mountain melodies over harsh techno, subdued drones and crushing doom. Though it’s the last album that the band made as a duo, Tamás Kátai was already proving himself to be a willing collaborator. Atilla Bakos and Ágnes Tóth (The Moon and The Nightspirit) contribute clean vocals throughout. A finalist for an HangSúly Hungarian Metal Award, Róka Hasa Rádió announced Thy Catafalque as a critical darling.
