Jon Attwood’s solo guitar project Yellow6 has been going since around 1996, with his debut 7” single release, ‘Perception Received/Milestone’, followed by debut album, ‘Overtone’, both on Enraptured. Since that time he has established himself as one of the foremost purveyors in the ambient/post-rock scene, having released his music on many other independent labels such as Sound In Silence, Make Mine Music, Resonant, Cathedral Transmissions, and his own Editions6. Since 1998 he has played many shows in Europe and North America and collaborated with many other artists such as Portal, Thisquietarmy, Absent Without Leave, Caught In The Wake Forever, David Newlyn, Charles Atlas, and most recently, the Enraptured release ‘In the Darkness You Were Smiling’ with Lux Symmetry (RAPTCD83).

"This album was recorded following the release of the 20th anniversary re-recording of my debut single. The music takes a more stripped back approach than recent Yellow6 recordings, trying to recreate the limitations 4 track recordings of 20+ years ago rather than the endless layers offered by digital techniques."
