Brazilian singer and composer Agostinho dos Santos was a well-known figure in his country's bossa nova, MPB (Brazil's popular music) and rock and roll movements. He is best known today for lending his voice to the soundtrack of the classic 1959 film Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus). On the present LP, Dos Santos sings songs by Antônio Carlos Jobim.
