"Bortenfor" is Emilie Lidsheim"s second album, released on KKV and produced by Morten Qvenild. The music is about close relationships; the good and the difficult, those that are and those that have been. With her Norwegian lyrics, she also reflects on life and what happens afterwards; beyond and past. She sings about the usefulness and place of weeds in the world and about all the boxes we create in society in an attempt to achieve security, belonging and in an attempt to become "ourselves". Emilie Lidsheim is a songwriter and singer, with a classical violin education from the Norwegian Norwegian Academy of Music and Barratt Due. In recent years, she has made a name for herself as a creative and musician, both as a songwriter and singer-songwriter and as a curious and searching musician within a wide range of expressions and genres: folk songs, contemporary music, world music, theatre music, pop and classical music. She has toured with a-ha, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and Odd Nordstoga and worked with artists and ensembles such as No 4, Christel Alsos, Marthe Wang, Javid Afsari, Anne Hytta, Oslo Philharmonic, Oslo Sinfonietta, the Norwegian Soloist Choir and KORK. She is a member of and co-founder of the classical chamber orchestra Ensemble Allegria. Participants: Emilie Lidsheim - vocals, violin, viola Morten Qvenild - keyboards Ivar Myrset Asheim - drums Stian Andersen - double bass
