Sinatra and Riddle entered Capitol's KHJ Studios during four days in January 1956 to record their legendary collaboration Songs for Swingin' Lovers. It first entered the Billboard chart on March 31, 1956. It rose to #2 in the US, remaining on the chart for a total of 50 weeks. It also reached #8 in the UK, remaining on the chart for 8 weeks. Sinatra was so pleased with Riddle's work on the album that he described him as "the greatest arranger in the world".
