Headhunter was founded in 1989 under the name Curse after Schmier was fired from Destruction. They recorded a 6-song demo in 1989/90, all of the tracks later being re-recorded for the "Parody of Life" debut album. They released three albums and toured Germany and Japan before splitting up in the mid-'90s. And Schmier rejoined Destruction. ‘Parody of Life’ was their debut album from 1990. The line-up was: Schmier: Vocals, Bass (Destruction), Jörg Michael: Drums (Stratovarius, Running Wild, Rage, Saxon) and Schmuddel: Guitars (from 80’s cult German metal band Talon).
