Nomen est Omen. The new album by Nils Wogram is entitled ‘The Walk’. And that's exactly how the music begins. Trombonist Nils Wogram, organist Arno Krijger and drummer Dejan Terzic march off together. They become tour guides, because with their gripping groove they simply take their listeners with them. No subtext, no double bottom. Let's go Nils Wogram got his inspiration and contemplation on regular long walks. It's about getting into a flow and letting the music flow just like when walking.
This has resulted in compositions with a song character that are recorded together by the trio in the great acoustics of the large ballroom. Loose, airy, relaxed and concentrated. Timeless music with depth and sophistication played by a well-rehearsed trio that was founded in 2004 and has been performing live in its current line-up since 2012. The album Nature was awarded the Echo Jazz prize in 2015 and ‘The Walk’ could be seen as a further development of the original album concept.
