Milan-based screamo band Ojne make an impressive return after six years, releasing their highly anticipated EP "Sogno #3" (translated as "Dream #3"). After the success of their EP "Undici/Dodici" and international split releases, Ojne rose to become the cult band of the European screamo scene in 2017 with their first full-length album "Prima Che Tutto Bruci". "Sogno #3" is the result of an eventful period in which Ojne juggled lineup changes, extensive European and American tours, and the challenges of a pandemic.
The EP's six songs were written piecemeal between 2016 and 2022, reflecting the diverse influences the band faced during that time. The recording of "Sogno #3" was an equally tumultuous journey. Bassist Mario Rizzotto recorded the EP in four different recording studios and rehearsal rooms, and also handled the mixing. Mastering was done by Jack Shirley at the renowned Atomic Garden Studio to get the sound of the EP spot on.
