After Ritual from the Ruhr region had played well over 300 concerts in 19 countries since 2005 as one of Europe's most active hardcore bands in youthful madness, leaving behind three albums and 7" singles during that time, the cultworshipped band had been on hiatus since 2012. Now, 14 years after their last album, Julian Laur de Manos, Deni Pavicic, and Philipp Wulf, whose friendship continued even without Ritual, have reunited. With “Silver Lining,” they show themselves to be more melodic than ever before in their first double single. The palette has expanded significantly, with some striking new facets added despite the strong recognition factor. Ritual is thus reborn as a hardcore band that seems to fit right into the year 2025.
