Simple Minds’ fifth album, ‘New Gold Dream’ was very well received and the group began to fill venues of more than respectable size after the release. It transmits a group making music for the pure and simple pleasure of creating beauty, in addition to creating an 'aural paradise' filled with careful textures. Each note seems to be placed with exquisite delicacy, but without falling into the mere exercise of style or the mastery of production over melodies. It is a pop album full of unforgettable choruses enhanced by a production and sound of enormous meticulousness and perfectionism and that at the same time is natural.
