Mutant, in proud partnership with Amazon MGM, are proud to present the shimmering, star-studded soundtrack to their original holiday film Oh. What. Fun.
The various artists album features a blend of alt-pop and indie-rock reinterpretations of holiday classics by some of today’s most beloved artists and bands, including Gwen Stefani, Fleet Foxes, St. Vincent, Jeff Tweedy, the bird and the bee and Weyes Blood, each breathing new life into holiday favorites with their own unmistakable style.
The soundtrack also features the bird and the bee, who also make an appearance within the film, Uwade, Empress Of’s Lorelay Rodriguez and a collaboration from Andy Shauf and Madi Diaz. Rounding out the collection are contributions from the film’s cast, including a cover of “The 12 Days Of Christmas” by Dominic Sessa and more.
A heartfelt ode to mothers, “Oh. What. Fun.” (directed by Michael Showalter) weaves its celebration of motherhood through its musical DNA. With music supervision by Marcus Tamkin, the soundtrack draws on songs his mother once introduced to him—reimagined by the artists he later shared with her. This intergenerational musical exchange beautifully mirrors the film’s themes of family, connection, and the enduring bonds between parent and child
