In contrast to some loveless compilations, we deliver surf hits in lesser-known versions like Pipeline by The Challengers or Dick Dale's Misirlou as Misirlou Twist. Pop icons such as the Beach Boys were deliberately omitted. The recordings, some of which are rare, deal with the above-mentioned subjects and demonstrate the lasting influence they had on popular music, especially in the 1960s. Surf rock is regarded as one of the pioneers of punk rock and psychobilly. The 36-page color booklet for the CD was painstakingly researched and written by surf rock icon John Blair from Los Angeles and contains many previously unknown details. Rare photos and illustrations as well as the crystal-clear sound of the re-mastering round off the whole package: Fun, Fun, Fun!
