In 1985, CHRISTIAN DEATH extended its shadow over the nascent gothic genre with the release of of its' third album 'Ashes'. Continuing where the epic 'Catastrophe Ballet' left off, 'Ashes' furthered the band's burgeoning legacy with its keen sense of romance and dramatic flair. The disturbingly dark and deeply atmospheric songwriting of the two main protagonists, Rozz Williams (vocals) and Valor Kand (guitar/vocals), remains to this day some of the bands most elegant and incisive. Williams' unquestionably delivers some of the finest vocal performances of his all-too-short career.
