In its third incarnation, the Berlin supergroup Berlin Diskret around Don Lotze, Asphalt Tiger and The Artist Formerly Known As Metal Warrior opens a new chapter with the new frontwoman Elli. Asphalt Tiger has donated half of the sovereign-snotty lyrics and as a Neuköllner scene hero Elli also has an adorably gruff mouth, which on the 14 excellent songs of "Erinnere Dich" also provides one lyrical highlight after another, in which almost everyone and everything gets his fat.

Razor-sharp guitar licks meet wonderfully booming bass runs, crunchy shooting gallery action, horny, oily backing vocals and always deliciously arranged surprises in the form of synth, harmonica, jingle bells and charmingly misappropriated, not quite unknown New Wave riffs. Combos like Östro 430, Hans-A-Plast, Bärchen & Die Milchbubies, early Abwärts, very early Cure let Berlin Diskret lovingly peek around every corner and meanwhile shake with "Erinnere Dich" quite easily their charming third and at the same time best album from the sleeve.
