TOD DEM DIKTATOR is the blazing second album by the Berlin trio, which emerged from the ashes of the punk band Grow Grow, and is completely convincing with its explosive mixture of anticorporate punk, dystopian indie, (post-)hardcore and post-punk. The three protagonists create a sound that unleashes a hurricane of emotionally charged indignation from their carefully considered words and finely observed circumstances. Shouted-out rage, fueled by the desire for systematic change, underpinned by rough, noisy passages that gain colossal relevance through the melodious and level-headed songwriting. All this is reminiscent not least of bands like Turbostaat, Oma Hans, Hot Snakes, Meat Wave and Pissed Jeans, but is so much more.
