Following their landmark third album '15', 'Black Butterfly' [2006] saw Buckcherry seize the momentum that they’d built up, further sculpting their sound into the larger-than-life hard rock that they’ve become renowned for. ‘Black Butterfly’ was co-produced by Marti Frederiksen [Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe] and Buckcherry's own Keith Nelson, and further enhanced their evolution into a band destined for the biggest of stages. Furthermore, it spawned some of the band’s most beloved singles, “Don’t Go Away” and “Rescue Me”, as well as a riotous cover of Deep Purple's “Highway Star”. The reissue sees the much sought after bonus track “Too Drunk...” released on vinyl for the first time, whilst the CD edition will feature an additional five bonus tracks, including two rare demos and three newly recorded acoustic versions of “Don't Go Away”, “Rescue Me” and “Rose”. Upon its release, ‘Black Butterfly’ pushed Buckcherry to astounding commercial highs. It cracked the Top 10 on both the US and Canadian album charts and was later certified Gold by Music Canada. Now, as it is pressed on vinyl for the first time outside of their native US, ‘Black Butterfly’ will have yet another chance to spread its wings.
