Italian band Calibro 35, known for their cinematic funk sound and having been sampled by Jay-Z and Dr. Dre, is set to release their new album, "NOUVELLES AVENTURES," on June 30. This album will be available on a limited edition Crystal Clear vinyl, exclusive to Record Kicks, with only 1,000 copies produced, making it a must-have for collectors.
Following their tribute albums to Ennio Morricone and the soundtrack for the TV series "Blanca," Calibro 35 returns with a fresh studio album featuring original material. "NOUVELLES AVENTURES" was recorded at the historic Auditorium Novecento in Naples, showcasing the band's diverse influences, which span funk, progressive rock, alternative jazz, and cinematic music. The album title, inspired by composer György Ligeti, reflects the band’s desire to embark on new creative journeys after fifteen years of evolving their unique sound. The lead single, "EXTRAORDINAIRE," exemplifies their exploration of complex soundscapes, merging abstract and psychedelic elements.
