From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, LABCRY was hailed as one of the three great Kansai vocal bands alongside Rashinban and Nagisa nite. Their second album, COSMOS DEAD, released in 1998, brought together all of their golden members. In addition to the central figure Hiroki Misawa (vocals, guitar), there was NANA (ex-Bachilas Brain) on guitar, Kosuke Shimizu (now mama milk!) on bass, Akihiko Saito (Speed Rider) on drums, and the eccentric Gonzo Murakami on electro-noise and blues harp. The band's masterpieces, filled with the joy and brilliance of their founding, still have many enthusiastic supporters, and it is known that many musicians continue to listen to this album as a "classic album of the heart." This 2-CD deluxe edition of this masterpiece includes an additional disc of bonus tracks filled with the atmosphere of 1998, including the newly unearthed outtakes and demo tapes filled with fragments of ideas created during the album's production.
