Shota Sakihara, who has played in many punk bands with his trademark red-rimmed glasses, suddenly found himself at the crossroads of blues when he was born with his first child. Since 2021, he has been studying guitar under Nakamura♠ of More Rhythm. In addition to his original songs such as "Nekasete Baby" and "Dara Dara," whose lyrics are rooted in his life as a father of two, he also sings "Linda Linda" by The Blue Hearts, which was his original experience with punk. Then he performs an unprecedented slide guitar cover, and howls freely along with a hot stomp to "Yeah Yeah" by the beloved UK new wave band The Revillos. It resonates firmly with the spirit of blues, the ancestor of punk rock. However, Shota Sakihara's style, which sublimates each essence through his own filter, is truly "punk and blues"!
