City Soul is a concept word to bring together soul, AOR & blue-eyed soul with similar tastes to city pop, which continues to be popular with revivalists. It has been developed around the two books "City Soul Disc Guide" (DU BOOKS) and the compilation CD series "City Soul" (P-VINE), both of which are currently on sale and have been well received. This product is the first analogue release under the 'City Soul' brand. It is a compilation of 10 tracks carefully selected from approximately 100 tracks on all five "City Soul" CD series. Almost all of the tracks are being released on analogue vinyl for the first time in the world.
Songs that will appeal to AOR fans, including David Foster & Jay Graydon's cover of the popular Airplay song "Nothing You Can Do About It". Songs that will appeal to blue-eyed soul lovers, such as Samuel Purdie's "Whatever I Do" by former members of Jamiroquai. In addition, there is a 90s R&B revival of "One In A Billion" by a Taiwanese singer, "This Summer" by a popular Japanese band with English lyrics, and a total of 10 tracks of classic, popular and topical songs. This is a disc that appeals to a wide range of listeners of all ages, meeting the needs of today's analogue disc buyers.
