"Young Person's Guide To West Psychedelia", a compilation album released in 1988 featuring psychedelic and garage punk bands active in the Kansai indie scene of the 1980s, is now available on CD for the first time!
Starting with the well-known origin of girls' psyche "Mescaline Drive," the album features four bands: "Hanadensha," a monumental Japanese psychedelic rock album led by ex-Boredoms member HIRA; "FOLK TALES," which includes three songs that can only be heard on this album; and "AUSCHWITZ," led by Naoto Hayashi, one of the founders of Alchemy Records and a key figure in the scene. The album features 11 songs in total, each with a roaring sound as the individuality of the bands clash violently.
